The Parents and Citizens Association

The Lake Ginninderra P&C Association is a voluntary organisation which:

  • promotes parent participation in the college and provides community support for the college;
  • provides a forum for parent input into school matters;
  • raises money for the benefit of LGC
  • contributes to ACT school policy matters through the ACT Council of P&C Associations.

The P&C meets monthly during school terms and invites all parents, carers and community members to the meetings which are also attended by the college Principal. The meetings are advertised in the school newsletter.

The P&C raises money by operating the LGC Community Education Program. A professional manager is employed and profits are used to improve the quality of the school environment. From time to time, the P&C manages small Commonwealth and ACT government grants.

Each year, the P&C elects two representatives to the ACT Council of P&C Associations to express our views on matters that concern the whole ACT College and school system.
