Application for year 11 in 2014

Applications for placement in all ACT government colleges are made online.

The online applications open on Tuesday April 30, 2013.

On time applications close at midnight on Friday June 14, 2013.

Who should apply?

All students who live in the ACT or surrounding regions of NSW may apply for placement.

Before you start the application, you should:

  • Discuss your application with your parents or guardian.
  • Visit the college on open night or by arrangement at another time.

What information will you need to complete your application?

  • Your student ID number (if you are currently studying at an ACT government high school)
  • Your residential address. This needs to be the same as that recorded on the ACT Government high schools database, or for students currently at a non-government school, the White Pages telephone directory. Alternatively,
if your residential address cannot be confirmed in this way, you must show verification to college administration.
  • Your parent or guardian's address, if this is not the same as your address.
  • Your parent's telephone numbers – home, work, mobile
  • College choice – if you are not currently residing in the Priority Enrolment Area for the college you must include a second choice.
  • All the courses you intend to study
  • Your reasons for applying for an out-of-area college if you reside outside the Priority Placement Area.

What do you do when you have completed the application?

The application should take between 10 and 15 minutes to complete.

Once you have completed the application you should print the final page, which will also provide you with a record number. This number is important and needs to be included in all future correspondence regarding your enrolment.

If you complete another application it will replace any you have previously submitted.

On time applicants will be offered a place at the college by first mail following Friday July 5, 2013.

Subject selection will take place for these students in August 2013.

Late applications are accepted but will follow a different time line which depends on when the college is notified by the Education Directorate about these applications.
