Student Absences

UC Senior Secondary College uses the SENTRAL software to maintain and manage student class attendance.

SENTRAL provides  notification of student attendance for parents, students and teachers, ensuring that all members of our community are aware of student absence from class.

Parents/carers may notify the college of an explanation for a student absence using one of these methods:

1. Written absence explanation using the Notification of Absence form or other hand written note
2. Responding to the SMS absence notification
3. Explanation of absence via email – LGNC.STUDENTSERVICES@ed.act.edu.au

When explaining an absence in writing, please provide all of the following information:

• Student name
• Parent/carer name
• Mobile contact
• Date and time of absence
• Explanation for absence
