Payment and Contributions

Voluntary Contributions

Thank you for your support of the school community.

Contributions are voluntary under the ACT Education Act 2004 and no student will be disadvantaged by not paying their family contribution. Your school community relies on every family contributing to the financial viability of the school.

Should you have trouble paying we are happy to arrange a payment plan or discuss other options to assist you. Contributions are voluntary and we are understanding of any parent whose financial circumstances are such that the payment of the voluntary contribution could constitute a hardship. Please contact the school on 6142 0222 to discuss your circumstances. Individual records of contributions remain confidential.

There are 2 types of voluntary contributions – a Voluntary Contribution and a tax-deductable Building Fund.

Voluntary Contribution of $150 per year
We thank you for your support of the College and the quality education we deliver. ACT public schools receive funding for basic and essential services such as staffing, utilities, cleaning, maintenance, furniture, and basic educational supplies.

Your voluntary contribution will help foster innovation, collaborative learning and make an impact for current and future students. The money raised plays an important role in enhancing teaching and learning at UCSSC Lake Ginninderra by supporting a range of initiatives, purchase of materials and resources and enabling projects in subject areas. As well as providing resources to enhance our high-quality curriculum.

Building Trust Fund of $100 per year (tax deductible)
We use our Building Trust Fund ($100 per year) to improve, update and maintain our facility. Examples include painting, repair and general maintenance of school buildings to enhance students’ educational and social experiences.

Recent projects include landscaping projects, sustainable healthy gardens, student created designs and installation of student work. Upcoming planned projects include Makerspace equipment and upgrade of library and learning spaces.

All donations over $2 to the Building Trust Fund are tax deductible.
